Identifying and managing risk

The internal audit team audits internal processes and systems. It is essential in managing the risks of the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner and Chief Constable.

Internal audit agree with the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner and Chief Constable a programme of work to be undertaken throughout the year.

Progress reports are provided to the Joint Audit Committee and recommendations, if accepted, will be developed through the service.

To deliver value for money, internal audit arrangements are shared with the Office of Police and Crime Commissioner for West Yorkshire under a collaboration agreement.
