Meet the OPFCC & Mayor

The Mayor and members of their team, holds personal advice surgeries where you can talk about their role or any policing, fire, or community safety issues.

Supermarket drop in

The team regularly visits communities to meet local residents and business owners to hear their community, policing and fire service concerns.

The team is joined by members of the local policing team and fire service who are on hand to provide crime prevention and fire safety advice.

No appointment is necessary, so if you have a community, policing or fire concern, please come along.

Personal advice surgeries

Personal advice surgeries enable you to talk to the Mayor about their role or raise any policing, fire, or community safety issues.

Personal advice surgeries are open to police volunteers, staff and officers.

Before you meet the Mayor, you will be asked a number of questions so that we can prepare in advance as necessary. It is important to note that Mayor cannot personally intervene or influence a live investigation, whether about a police complaint or a criminal matter. This is because doing so could jeopardise the investigation.

However, if you have a complaint against the police you wish to raise or follow up, the Mayor is happy to guide and support you through the process.

Surgeries are divided into 15 minute private appointments. You are welcome to bring a companion, supporter or advocate to the meeting.

Personal advice surgeries are currently being held via phone or Microsoft Teams. Microsoft Teams works very similar to Zoom, we will send you a link to the online meeting which you can join using any internet browser.
